2026 Tryout/Evaluation Results

The tryout procedure is a filter down process. Starting from the highest-level teams (14UAA, 12UAA, 10UAA), players are selected to teams and those that are not chosen filter down to the next level of the tryout selection process. This continues until all teams are filled. Players do not need to re-register for the next set of tryouts. They will be automatically placed on the tryout list for the next tryout sessions.

Tryout Check-In Process

1. Prior to tryouts, please make sure that your player removes all helmet decals.
2. Upon Arrival, players must check in at the tryout table and pick up a tryout jersey and practice socks.
3. On the tryout list, the player will be listed with either a black or a yellow color jersey and their number will be recorded for the evaluation staff.
4. After each session, the players may need to return the jersey back to the tryout table or by the hockey office, where they will find bins for them to place the jersey into. Please remind your player not to place the jersey in their bags and take them home, unless otherwise instructed to do so.
5. For each tryout day, this process may be repeated.

TRYOUTS ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Check your player in, help with any gear needs, then leave the building.

Tryout Selection Process

1. All players registered for tryouts are required to attend all sessions, unless there is an injury, academic, or other scheduling conflict that the player is unable to miss. The Director/Associate Director must know prior to tryouts if there is a scheduling conflict.
2. After each session, parents/players are required to check the results on the Arvada website here: 2026 Tryout/Evaluation Results | Arvada Hockey (www.arvadahockey.com > Resources > For Players > 2026 Tryout/Evaluation Results.

• Players that are selected to move on to the next session will be listed in the “PLAYERS SELECTED TO NEXT SESSION” list. For tryouts that have 2 groups, the groups will be listed as Group 1 and Group 2 in this location.
• Players that are NOT selected for the next session, will be listed in the “PLAYERS ASSIGNED TO A/B TRYOUTS” (or Rec/Option/In-House). This list will continue to populate after each tryout session until the final team(s) is selected. The lists will contain the last name of each player (and the first initial for players with the same last name).
• Once selections have been made after the final tryout session, the results will be posted as the team. For Example, the list will say “14UAA Team” or "14U B Gold Team". All remaining players will be added to the “Players to Report to A/B tryouts” (or Rec/Option/In-House) list. The next set of lists will be posted and all players will be added to the new lists and the process will continue for the next set of tryouts.

COMMITTING TO A ROSTER SPOT

After selections have been made, players have 24 hours to commit to the roster spot.

• If a player does not want to accept the selection, they must contact the Director/Associate Director as soon as possible, letting them know so the spot can be filled.
• If you do accept the selection, no response is required, and we will see you at the first scheduled team activity.
• Upon acceptance of selection, players are required to commit to all team fees necessary for the season.
