No more dull blades or bad edges! No more special trips to the hockey store! Arvada Hockey offers skate sharpening as a benefit to all members of the association.
Arvada Hockey has a Sparx skate sharpening machine so that we can offer our players and coaches convenient, consistent, high quality skate sharpening. The Sparx machine provides a consistent result every time.
The machines are located at the Off Ice Facility.

If your team has regularly scheduled dryland or other team activities players can get their skates sharpened while they are there and be ready to go next time the hit the ice!
How often do you sharpen your players skates?
For most hockey players, skates should be sharpened every 5 - 10 hours of skating. Unfortunately, most of us put off skate sharpening because we don't have time or it's not convenient to drive to the store or leave our skates overnight to be sharpened.
Arvada Hockey wants to eliminate the hassle and make it easy for all our players to have properly sharpened skates.
