will be held at the Off-Ice Training Facility

  • Recognition of AHA Championship Teams
  • Hockey Directors' Year End Report
  • Age Division Directors' Year End Report
  • Treasurer's Financial Report
  • Registrar's Report
  • Election Results and Seating of the New Board of Directors



Vote for the 2024 -2025 Board of Directors

THE AHA ELECTIONS WILL BE HELD ONLINE BEGINNING WEDNESDAY APRIL 10th

AND ENDING SUNDAY APRIL 14th. 

VOTING DETAILS WILL BE EMAILED TO OUR FAMILIES (ONLY ONE VOTING OPPORTUNITY PER FAMILY)

INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE EMAILED TO THE PRIMARY EMAIL IN THE REGISTRATION DATABASE.

 

The Election results will be announced during the Annual Meeting on April 17th.

The Arvada Hockey Association Board of Directors is looking for nominations for the following open positions/appointments:

  • 5 Division Directors
  • 8U/Mite Division Director
  • 10U Division Director
  • 12U Division Director
  • 14U Division Director
  • In-House Division Director - all age groups
  • 3 Directors-at-Large


Division Directors

To be eligible for a Division Director, a nominee must have a child playing in the travel program, at the same age division to be represented, unless prior approval is received from the Board. The House Division Director must have a child playing in the house/option program.

The duties of the Division Directors include:

  1. Official representation of the respective division on the Board.
  2. Attendance at a minimum of two (2) games for each team in the respective age division.
  3. Official liaison between the Board of Directors and the respective division membership.
  4. Board of Directors approval presentation for any team in the respective division requesting to go to any post season tournament.
  5. Provide a written report to the Board for the monthly meeting.
  6. Assist with tournaments.


Directors-at-Large

The Board of Directors is made up of six directors-at-large for a two year term. Three of these Directors shall be elected in even-numbered years, and three of these Directors shall be elected in odd-numbered years.

If you are running for a Board position or would like to nominate someone, please complete the Board Nomination Form below. 

Please Note: Based on current AHA Bylaws, only current member families or current season coaches officially listed on the USA Hockey/AHA roster are eligible to vote and/or serve on the Board of Directors. Complete AHA By-laws and information regarding eligibility can be found here.

It is our hope to avoid a lengthy annual meeting. Therefore, no candidates will be allowed to formally address the members during the Annual Meeting. If you are nominating someone other than yourself, they will be contacted to confirm their interest and will be given an opportunity to submit the requested information. A list of candidates will be published on the website.

 

Deadline for Nomination Applications is Midnight on Sunday April 7th, 2024.

Notice of Proposed Bylaw Changes on the 2024 Ballot

According to Article XII in the AHA Bylaws any proposed changes shall be publicized in writing to the AHA membership prior to the Annual Meeting in April and shall be voted upon by the majority of the eligible members participating in the elections (online or in-person).
