RMHF/Travel Hockey
Objective of the RMHF/Travel Program
AHA provides Competitive Travel Teams for ages 10U/Squirt, 12U/Peewee, 14U/Bantam. The teams compete in the Rocky Mountain Hockey Federation (RMHF), along with many other Colorado Front Range associations. Players that are selected for these teams are generally more competitive and require a larger commitment for players and parents. RMHF teams are leveled according to ability and typically practice 3 times a week, with 1 or 2 games on the weekends. There may be occasional weekday games for RMHF teams as well. The following table provides an overview of the age divisions and levels available at AHA. Depending on participant numbers and ability level, all levels may not be available each year.

Ages are determined by the age of the player on 12/31 of the year the season begins.
The AA level is the most competitive followed by A then B.
Program Details
Season Length
14U/12U/10U
Tryouts will begin in mid August for 14U & 12U. Tryouts for 10U will begin after Labor Day.
The season will finish at the end of February with Playoffs.
CPHL Mustangs T2
Tryouts will begin mid August.
Season will wrap up with playoffs early November.
Practices & Games
14U/12U/10U
Teams will practice 3 times per week with one of those practices a Skills & Drills session approximately every 2nd Monday. Teams may also have an early morning practice on Tues or Thurs 1 - 2 times per month.
Teams will have 1 - 2 games per weekend.
CPHL Mustangs T2
Team will practice 3 times per week, generally during weekdays. This team may also have an early morning practice on Tues or Thurs 1 - 2 times per month.
Team will play 1 - 2 games per week, generally on Friday or Saturday, until early November.
Power Skates
Power Skates are offered weekly - $10 per session.
Kibby leads the early morning power skate on Wed at 5:30 am.
Shawn offers a late afternoon power skate on Fri at 4:15 pm.
Power Skates will commence in mid Sept and will appear on your family calendar.
Goalie Clinics
Goalie Clinics are offered to our AHA goalies each Wed under the tutelage of Matt Zabba.
No charge for this service.
Goalie Clinics will begin mid Sept and appear on your family calendar.
Matt's team of goalie coaches will also be at the Mon night Skills & Drills sessions starting in mid Sept.
Dryland
Coaches are able to block time for team dryland at AHA's Off Ice Facility.

Jerseys
14U/12U/10U
Jerseys, game and practice, will be provided to all Teams at no additional cost. Game socks and practice socks will also be included.
CPHL RV T2
The team will wear RV Jerseys which will be ordered by the team for an additional cost.
Extra Costs - Team Fees
14U/12U/10U Teams
Once teams are formed your Team Manager will prepare a budget for the team to cover additional expenses the team may incur.
Additional expenses may be related to tournament registrations, coach travel expenses for out of state tournaments, dryland gear, team meals, etc. and requires AHA approval prior to collection of these Team Fees.
Teams regularly fundraise to offset team expenses and team fees.
AHA Tournaments
The cost of the AHA Tournament Fee for each team is included in the Player Registration Fees.
